shake what your Mama gave you!

shake what your Mama gave you!

Our show is growing strong and we are back to bring you more benefits to getting healthy.

We are so happy that our video on Flu Prevention was so helpful. Karen received many emails, texts and phone calls thanking her and Joey for the O thingy! We are grateful to be of service.

This is what this show is all about;
providing you with a useful resource.

This week’s focus; Exercise.

Part of being healthy is getting fit. There are so many positive benefits to exercising that it outweighs the couch potato effect.

Make exercise fun, you don’t have to join a gym to get fit. Get a bike and hit the trails. Go for a walk, a run or a hike. Check out your local Parks and Recreation for a series of classes you can take. YWCA and YMCA also have classes to offer. Meetup.com has an array of activities local to your area. The possibilities are endless.

Our Northern viewers will soon turn their fitness focus to winter activities such as snowboarding, skiing, snow shoe, ice skating and hockey. These are all great ways to stay active throughout the winter season.

when was the last time you went tobogganing? Remember how much fun that was? I challenge you to get a sled or a toboggan, gather up friends and family and hit the biggest hills you can find (make sure you have a clear path with no rocks, trees ect.) Climbing the hills is a great cardiovascular and all-over- body- work out, but more importantly you will spend time with people you care about and engage your mind body spirit-how cool is that?

Your Local Library has a shelf full of videos you can rent free of charge on everything from aerobics to Yoga to dancing. Try taking Latino, Salsa, Meringue, or Swing dance classes. There is also ballet, jazz, modern and tap dance; now is your chance to have fun.

Of course you can always hire a personal trainer to give you that extra accountability.
Whatever you decide to do NOW is the time to get active, get fit and get off the couch and shake what your Mama gave you!

Until next week,
